A community of drop-ins and allied members throughout Toronto
Training is a key component of the Toronto Drop-In Network (TDIN) social enterprise model and plays an important role in supporting workforce development, resource sharing and sector engagement across the drop-in and homelessness-serving sectors.TDIN offers a variety of training opportunities designed to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and capacity of frontline workers, drop-in staff, leadership teams, volunteers, peers, and anyone interested in delivering effective, equitable, and trauma-informed services. Our trainings are informed by the collective expertise of TDIN member agencies, sector leaders, and experienced facilitators working directly within community and drop-in settings. Sessions range from foundational to advanced topics and may include participant engagement, trauma-informed practice, de-escalation techniques, harm reduction, supporting people who use substances, and best practices for creating welcoming and inclusive service environments.TDIN provides training workshops through a sliding-scale fee structure for member agencies and a flat-rate fee structure for non-member and for-profit organizations. Custom training sessions can also be developed to meet the specific needs of individual organizations and teams.Eligible TDIN member agencies may apply available TDIN Training Allocation Funds toward the cost of training. The availability and amount of remaining funds will be confirmed by the TDIN Training and Engagement Coordinator at the time of booking. For more information about TDIN trainings or to discuss customized training opportunities for your organization, please contact: TDIN Training and Engagement Coordinator at 647-464-1733| engage@tdin.ca.
