A community of drop-ins and allied members throughout Toronto
The Out of the Cold (OOTC) Meal Program at St Luke's serves approximately 900 hot meals and 500 bagged lunches weekly to food insecure residents of the downtown eastside.Due to the impending redevelopment of St. Luke's, the Program is searching for commercial kitchen space/time in the downtown core.
Saint Luke’s United Church, the House of Friendship, is an Affirming Ministry, where all are welcome regardless of age, gender, race, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, differing abilities, or economic circumstances.
Out of the Cold is an interfaith program that strives to respond in a meaningful way to the basic physical needs of shelter, food and warm clothing for the less fortunate members of our society – as well as to respond to the deeply human needs of compassion, dignity and feelings of self-worth.
